Latley i have observed Partee's seem to be a "rite of passage " (to go all nerdy on u lol) At the moment i am doing my mini-pip for Society and culture and wanting to know your respones to the statement that :

Parties are the present day debutante balls.

Ye it defiantly is. The current generation is all about going out and drugs - some people might not agree, but thats probably because they dont - so therefore they think no one else does. If you go to Kings Cross on a saturday around 1 its 10x more packed than it was 4 years ago.
