I'm doing ext history - I am sooooo stumpted for ideas too! Jeez.
I'm not yet sure about doing Ext2 though, I would love to, but my teacher hasn't even brought it up - I really think its because we're not smart enough (lol). Do you know any tutoring places for Extension? I went to North Shore (Chatswood) earlier this year and I always went to James An since I was in Year 4 until like year 9. But there isn't really good ones for English, I wish there was something as good as Prior. Damn.
But about history, are you choosing a modern or an ancient topic? I would love to do either, its so exasperating!:argue:

I've picked a basic area for both my extension english and history topics. I just hope they work out. They are completly different so that will be good in case i get board with one i can do the other

I have a few ideas for my english extension 2 and History extension, but nothing concrete yet.

Is anyone going to the seminar thing on Extension 2 in week 4?

I've got a fairly solid idea for Extn 2 english - the only problem is that it keeps changing a bit. I'm completely clueless about History Extn, although I might decide to undertake an investigation of the Building of Rome through myth - the whole Remus and Romulus thing.

Very very vague ideas, obviously.

I'm doing history extension. I was thinking of writing my essay on Aborigines and why the British believed they had the right to put Aboriginal children into missions. When I watch these documentaries about the stolen generation I think why did the British see that as a positive course of action. Hopefully Ill find the answer.

umm from my memory didnt it have to do with social darwinism, and they believed the aboriginals couldnt take care of themselves?

Yeah thats true, however i'll attempt to answer it a bit more deeply. Like why did they think they had the right to do that? Lke in todays world no one would say they have the right to do that to people. Why didnt they believe that back then?
Its a suitable topic as you can talk about a lot of information. Regarding the assignment is of a large nature thats a real advantage.
