I have a photography assignment due next term, and one of the section of the assessment requires me to create a postmodern dress up portrait, which consists of me taking a photo of my friend who will be dressing like albert einstein. My question is... does anyone know where, in NSW, i can buy a white old mans wig and a white fake moustache?

try any $1 shop

There's heaps at the junction. One on level 1 of the Westfield, and one outside near Eastgate. There's also the costume shop further down if you go towards the library. Or Kmart downstairs in the Eastgate building, or The Reject Shop upstairs in Eastgate.

Depends on exactly how like Einstein you need to be, but:

1. Arts and crafts store: if they have a wig, no moustache, think about using batting/cotton products to make your own. White, fluffy: throw some gauze at the back and you're away. Use spirit gum to stick it on.
2. party shop outlet. Yup, there are wigs and moustaches. Mainly black and neon, so ring your local party place to check.
3. Ebay. Type in Einstein Wig and there are over 12 options. you can pick up a "kit" of wig and moustache for $20.00 or less.

The advantage of pre-made is basically time.
