The practical is to add four 50 grams masses to a mass carrier supported by two strings, and as each mass is added, we are to measure in metres the extension.

It also says to graph the data "showing the weight of the masses of the spring versus the extension of the springs"

So its saying Weight Versus Extension.

Does that mean weight is on y axis, and extension (m) is on x axis?

please exam is tomorrow morning can some1 help me!

The mass (not weight) is the independent variable and so is on the x-axis.
