Explain using the laws of reflection/refraction how the wave equation V= f Lambda could explain the role of electromagnetic waves in your chosen technology ( my chosen technology is CDs). Anyone hav any idea in answering this question??

I'm not going to do your work for you, but basically CDs have tiny bumps in the aluminium, the minimum length of which is just slightly longer than the wavelength, so that no matter where in the sine wave the "particle" is it will definitely hit a bump/land of the height it supposed to. And because of the different height of the aluminium in combination with the refractive index of the polycarbonate it will either be sent back to the receiver or not. Any time it changes from hitting to missing or missing to hitting corresponds with a binary 1.
