Hmm, it's a bit too general, because there are plenty of things you could mention in your answer. Your textbook is a possible starting point, but try a google search and see if you can find some good sites.

features of the universe. whoa. this is such a broad topic...where can you start? i mean you can blab for two whole days none-stop...:p

i personally like the book 'astronomy: the definitive guide', i found it in my school library, it's by Robert Burnham, Alan Dyer, and Jeff Kanipe (Weldon-Owen; Sydney; 2002 if you need these info :p). maybe you can try your local library? even if they don't have this book, you'd get more than you need in the astronomy section anyway :D how long does your assignment need to be?

Although I have finished my physics assignment now (Thanks insert_username for wikipedia), my teacher explicetly told us not two right lengthy extended answers, but my assignment terned out to be six pages in length! :D

Good stuff. It's great to see you getting stuck into things so early, but be careful not to burn yourself out too early. And Wikipedia's an excellent resource for all sorts of things - just remember to use multiple sources though, and not just rely on Wiki. :)

teeheehee, that's better than going under the limit, so long as there's no penalty for going over :p i love astronomy @.@ if i'm not feeling so lazy i might be raiding the astronomy section of the libraries every day XP good luck with your mark of your assignment! :D

Well done Jono, you sound very keen on physics this year. All the best for year 11 to you and everyone else. ;)

hehe but they're related to astronomy :D

...bugger. Tried to read relativity but always slacked off half-way onto magazines :p Uhh...well...but I'm reading New Scientist! :D :p

hmm

you can talk about Doppler effect, that is yr10 sci material, and from that you can talk about red/blue shift, and how the universe is ever expanding(or decreasing) because of that..

hmm..you can also talk about live of stars, ie how they are born and what they will die as (as a black hole or neutron star etc etc)

assuming this is yr10 sci, if you really want to impress, you can talk about gravity and how it plays an important role in sci discovery(hint: relate to einstein's theory of relativity if possible)
