i cant seem to be able to do this question, like i dont understand the scenario.
Amy rides a toboggan down a steep snowcovered
slope. Starting from rest, Amy reaches
a speed of 12 m s−1 as she passes her brother,
who is standing 19 m further down the slope
from her starting position. Assume that Amy’s
acceleration is constant.
(a) Calculate the time taken for Amy to reach
her brother.
(b) Calculate Amy’s acceleration.

Not too sure if this is the answer, but here's my take on it.

$u=0, v= 12, t = ?, a = ?, s = 19$

a. $s=\frac{1}{2}(u+v)t$

$19=\frac{1}{2}(0+12)t$

$t=\frac{19}{6}$ seconds.

b. $v^2=u^2+2as$

$12^2=0^2+2(19)a$

$a=\frac{72}{19} \; ms^-^2$
