Lol hi everyone :3 Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've already decided on my PIP topic, and we've had the first assessment for it, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks about it: I'm doing how women are portrayed in vampire literature + exploring the cultural impacts of the Twilight phenomenon (although I despise Twilight...hell, my intro starts with the words "I hate Twilight", though that in part is to show the markers that I'm not doing my PIP because I've fallen for the frivolous fad that is Twilight).
I was going to analyse gender roles in the following novels:
-Dracula
-Carmilla
-Guilty Pleasures (1st book Anita Blake series)
-Interview with a Vampire
-Twilight (*Shudder*)
-The first book of the Southern Vampire Mysteries series (the name escapes me ATM)
Though my teacher has suggested that I find a vampire novel written during the feminist movement...any suggestions?
I'm going to do content analysis, as well as secondary research and surveys/questionnaires, but does anyone have any suggestions for other methodologies?
