Hi,

The topic I am researching for my PIP is the portrayal of women in music over the past three decades and the diversity in these portrayals across various genres.

I was hoping for some people's opinions on the following question:

Has music changed over the years because of society or has society changed because of music?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think that society has changed due to media (including music) which in turn has lead music to change to appeal to the new society as well as the person who wrote/sung it.. it a cycle sort off....
