hey people, i need help with asynchronous and synchronous stuff. i know what is, but i was wondering if there is a difference in their transmission calculations? like do i divide/multiple by a different number for each of them or what??

pleeease help, i remember my teacher doing something but i just don't know what! lol

ipt exam tomorrow.. grr

hmmmm

i think you are getting mixed up with the transmission mode and error checking methods...

asynchronous transmission is when a start bit and end bit is attach to each byte and send through the network, while synchronous transmission the sending and receiving computer send and receive the byte at the same time..

those dividings sounds like CRC and checksums~~

i know what the difference is.. i mean calculations with file transfers etc.. dun worry, it wasn't in my trials.. heheh yaay :)
