i go to sefton high, school current rank 28th.

I do

Eng Standard
Math 2U
Math Ext 2
PHY
Chem
Legal

I get above average for Eng Standard, average for math, top 10 for Phy, Chem and Legal... What UAI is probable for me?

Too early to say, but a high UAI. Just focus on getting those ranks and mark

Extremely hard to tell from that information. Trial exam marks and overall ranks would be needed to get an estimate that's even in the ballpark. From that I could probably predict anything from about 70 to 90.

kay... sefton has 110 students doing HSC? around that?
30/60= 28,000/80,000
10/70= 5,000/50,000
45/90= 15,000/50,000
45/70= 15,000/40,000
45/70= 15,000/30,000
10/70= 6,500/45,000
10/70= 6,500/55,000

According to those ranges... assuming i got the numbers right... (definately not)
I'd say it equates to about... a uai of about 80-90...

But... need more numbers... :santa:

LMAO! ME TOO!! its just my way of making an educated guess about his uai....

Edit: i used the schools rank to assume his rank in the state....
and from that got the assumed percentile and put in my knowledge of what aggregate people get in that percentile... it was about 360 or something... aggregate

There is usually around 160 people doing the HSC every year at Sefton High School. Last year there were 101 distinguished achievers. This year we hope to increase that.
Also, are you in Year 11 or Year 12? Your profile says that you'll do the HSC in 2007, yet you are currently taking Mathematics Extension 2?
If these ranks are what you end up achieving in Year 12 and knowing the school's performance based on last year's achievement you would be likely to get:
English (Standard) - mid to high band 4
Mathematics Extension 1 - low to mid band E4
Mathematics Extension 2 - mid to high band 80s
Chemistry - high band 5 to low band 6
Physics - high band 5 to low band 6
Legal Studies - low to mid band 5
Therefore this would probably constitute to around 90-95.

Don't state-toppers ussually get 99 or 100 for ext 1 maths?

LoL, 90-95% is not even close to topping the state for Mathematics Extension 1. Topping the state means getting 100 for Mathematics Extension 1. Also, Sefton High School has a very high number of distinguished achievers in Mathematics courses. Just over half the grade scored band 6 or band E4 in a Mathematics course last year. Around half the grade score band E4 in Mathematics Extension 1 last year. Therefore getting average in Mathematics Extension 1 at Sefton High School would mean a likely chance of getting around a low band E4.
