hey hows it going
just wanna see in what direction i'm heading going into the exams
these are my trial marks and end of yr ranks in each
biology= 1st, 96%
religion 2 unit = apparently i am 2nd, but it doesn't make sense..i was first all yr and i caned the trials.. hmm..but for arguements sake lets say i am 2nd, 96%
english advanced =, 96%
physics = 1st, 68% toooooo over confidant
chemistry = equal 1st, 90%

see told u i aced my trials... i was like a hermit leading up to them..no sleep..no light..no food..
they were catholic trials..so hopefully i can repeat these marks..cept physics... wanna lift that up to high 80's
anyways say i get something along the lines of these marks what uai am i looking at ..
is being 2nd in religion a big concern..as far as i see it is is for me.. but just wanna see if i should be worried...cause i know i will beat the guy who is first in the hsc exam(i'm such an elitist)
what else sux is i'm equal first in chem, and now thats another subject on which my mark rides on someone elses shoulders... IS THERE ANYWAY TO AVIOD THIS?!?!?
all in all.. 2 queries
uai estimate
and can i achieve hi uai (98+) while being 2nd in re and = 1st in chem
anyways thanx again
appreciate ur help

not necessarily...like, ive only seen a couple of the catholic papers, and they were way easier than the independant, even my teachers commented on the difference in difficulties.

EDIT: dont get me wrong, doing well is doing well, but dont assume that just because it was the catholic paper and you do well that you will do well in the hsc

98+ should be easy :)

Getting those as raw marks in the HSC is superb.

And if you are ranked 1st in physics its still very good. Just make sure you perform better in the HSC in physics and you'll see yourself with a very high UAI.

Good Luck.

i will work on physics..physics isn't even my hardest subject, chemistry is..its only that i didn't do much study going into trials for physics becuase i was too over confidant..
but yeah that'll improve

anyone got any comments on how the fact being equal 1st in chem and 2nd in religion will hamper my chances at getting higher uai?!?
say for both the assessment mark is 60

thanx

Then it would really affect you so much when you get your assessment mark back.

But it's also good to check to be sure.

Go ask your teacher if there was a mistake made.

It won't affect you much that you are 1 mark behind because the relative differences are preserved and the difference is very insignificant.

And now i'm saying that you should check with the teacher whether some kind of mistake was made. It always feels good to come first.

ah ok cool... yeah i think there MIGHT hav ben a mistake on one assessment..but i think i'm gonna piss my teacher of by asking her about it... oh well.. its my future... and i read somewhere that being equal first means our hsc marks are averaged to giv us our moderated assessment.. is thats true?

Yes, that is correct.

But being equal first is better than second :)

You could even come first if they are totally wrong.
