zomg. you are soooo GOD! FOR EVERYTHING AS WELL!!!!!! wow. top of the class. well done. its such a great achievement for you to get 91% in a math test, considering you do 5.3 maths.

nah. I reckon you should consider Extension 1 English. an A will get you there. Even a B would. It would be pretty sad for you to waste your talent doing Advanced English when someone like me who gets C's is going to do it.

Good luck. I see you go Birrong Girls. Prettty close to Sefton High

Is everyone dead in your year? (joking, as you are already aware).

Congratulation by the way. That's extremely nice. Maintain that result and you will be guaranteed good UAI.

lol. "dead in my year" could be. lol

Thanks, i know it would have been nice if i had 1st in PDHPE as well. I missed it by 2%.

Yeap need to break the record for our school. Which is a UAI of 99.5.

I did not "predict" it. I basically said that maintaining that kind of rank until HSC will guarantee him good UAI. :)

Nope, not possible but you can only assume that one maintains his/her level of performance that their UAI will can be roughly predicted.

I really don't think there is a way to predict a UAI from year 10 marks though.

Isn't dux for the person with the highest UAI?

If so, this girl came first in 8 subjects and still didnt get dux, someone in year 12 did

And its really difficult to come first in so many subjects unless you go to a small school as there is less competition.

That's probably because your school only gives one dux award and that is for the year 12 top student. Well my school works differently we have a DUX for each year ranging from year 7 to 12.

Narh i don't really go to a small school at all. My school has 500 (approx.)students and about 80 in my year. So it's not a small school.

We have an award where we give a prize to the top academic studnt.

I never got one since I changed school in Year 9. (I got one in Year 8 in my old school). Since Year 9, I began to encounter more & more academic students but I improved significantly from that time.

I was like 2nd Dux in Year 10 because I came first in 3 subjects: Commerce, Religious Education and Mathematics. They give nothing to the 2nd... :mad:

I hope to get one this year (or next year).

your school is so cool. My school like never has half yearly for years tens. They divide it into mini assesment tasks every now and then and at the end of year, we have one major one which we call the trials.

So far my results are:

English 23/25 (only did one essay so far, handind another task in next week)
Maths Common 89/95 ----> 94%
Maths Extension 35/40 ----> 88%
History 35.7/40
Geography 33/40
PD/H/PE 22/25
Japanese 46.3/50
Science 18/20 (Assignment, another test this friday)
Information & Software Technology 80%

Note the marks for History, PDHPE & Japanese are based on Weightings

Hope I keep these results up for the rest of the year and maybe increase my rankings for IST
