Prelim Required for HSC (1 Viewer)

Ive been thinking of picking up Legal Studies in Term 4 and taking it on instead of one of my other subjects. I would be able to join a HSC class but they've almost already finished the prelim course. I know i have to complete the Prelim course as a prerequisate to sit the HSC but if i did it really quickly and didnt understand anything would it affect me.

So basically does anything from prelim carry over into HSC?

None of the content is examined, but they build a foundation for the knowledge that you will go through in Year 12.
