Is anyone else getting tested on prelim stuff for their half yearlies? As in, testing anything from prelim as well as on what we have learnt in year 12? I'm simply wondering if this is standard procedure across most schools.

And yes, I am well aware that we can be tested on anything from the prelim syllabus for the final HSC exam, but I'm just wondering about internal assessments.

Yes, the assessment notification for the half yearlies had;

• Preliminary Course - All Chapters
• HSC Course - Chapters 1 - 5, 12

our assessment notofication has only HSC topics.....although last years half yearly paper tested prelim content so it might come up.

Ya, I got prelim stuff in my HSC half yrly...didn't enjoy it...

We're also being tested on year 11 stuff and the worst part is that I don't remember anything!

Yeah, we got tested on prelim topics too . . . like 2 whole questions dedicated to it. Our school doesn't really make a distinction between prelim and hsc topics, there's a greater emphasis on learning the lot.
