It makes sense. Think about it from the prostitute's perspective. Of course your going to want a lot of money to repeatedly sleep with random men who already have difficulty finding anyone willing to have sex with them.

From the guy's perspective, most guys can be done in 15 minutes or less, so that only costs about $70. In many cases that's cheaper than dating to get sex. Plus even if you don't pay for dates, if you don't actually enjoy the dates, you have to consider the opportunity cost of the time. I can see how prostitution could be good value for plenty of guys.
