Proving Properties of Definite Integrals (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys

So I was teaching a student properties of integrals from scratch. And we came across this:



What would be a nice/easy/neat way of proving and explaining this property? Also, the student wants to understand where it comes from conceptually etc.

Here's one proof from the cambridge text book. The RHS of your integral is just -(F(a)-F(b)) which is essentially the same thing as your LHS.
