It's not really advanced enough to be classified as either imo. It is a collection of tools most of which are useful to people doing either pure or applied work in uni / their career. Some of these tools are motivated by real world applications (super straightforward differential equations in the mechanics component), some are less so (complex numbers, most conics questions, etc), but it is neither a rigorous enough course to be considered pure, nor is it focused enough on applications to be considered applied.
