Hi, i am finding difficulty in part (b), i solved (a) but would want the answer for (b).

1. (a) Identify and describe the effect that limits the resolution of this and many other ground-based telescopes.
(b) Describe the main method that is used on large modern optical telescopes
to reduce this effect.

yeah just MAKE SURE you dont add Active optics to an answer like that!! Active optics dont reduce atmospheric distortion
