For Module A: distinctively visual i was wondering if it would be wise to chose a rap song as a related text. 'mind playing tricks on me' from the early 90's is actually quite poetic while exposing the mental stress of gangsta life and even inspired a new sub-genre. I thought there was a lot of very powerful techniques within the visuals and the lyrics. my only issue is i'm not strong with the musical techniques and i haven't been able to identify much within the song. i really enjoy this as my related text but i'm wondering if i should maybe find something a little safer.

If you can't analyse the musical elements well, I would recommend picking another text. That's why teachers often advise against picking songs.
