I know this kinda varies from year to year due to test difficulty, but approximately what marks am i looking at in the actual HSC exam solely to warrant me a 90 external mark in 4u? Also what would the approximate mark be if i was looking at a 93-94 external mark and also what mark for a 96-97. Many thanks!

Feel free to use rawmarks.info to find this stuff out yourself!

Approximately 70-75 raw goes to 90
80-85 for 93-94
90-95 to 96-97

I only used 2014-2015 stuff, as it's most likely a better representation than older years.

oh thanks so much. is the range really that big between a 93 and 97 external mark?? 79 raw = 93 and 90 raw = 97??? wtf

ALSO: now that im looking at this database spreadsheet thingy how does it work for MX1? because isnt the unweighted raw mark meant to be out of 70 not 100?

The mark is out of 70, but the "unweighted raw" is just the mark out of 100 ("percentage"). For example, 62/70 = ~88.57/100

The database is out of 100, i.e. it's a percentage.
