OK from what i can tell you look like you know what your talking about :$
I am so dedicated to getting a high ATAR but I have never seen someone get a high one with subjects like mine and its my Stupid year 11 self that chose my subjects ...If the person i am today chose my subjects BACK THEN lol i would have been a little bit more wiser when deciding..

Anyway, my subjects are
English (standard)
Mathematics (2unit)
Society and culture
Business Services (VET)
Visual Art

I've moved this into a new thread so it's easier to discuss.

With any subject combination the only advice we can really give is that if you work hard and achieve high marks then that will lead to a high ATAR.

Well what do you consider a decent ATAR? If I were answering I'd say 70 and yeah 'tis achievable. Ask anyone else on this forum and they'll assume you mean 90+ though.

What is your definition of a high ATAR? Since you haven't specified, I'll say 97+ for the purpose of this post.

Based on your subjects, these are the approximate marks you will need:
Standard English - 93
Mathematics - 93
Society and Culture - 92
Business Services - 92
Visual Arts - 92

So yeah, it is possible but you need to excel across the board and even more so considering you've only got 10 units to bank on.

English 100% (but it was assessment based weighing 25%)
Maths 82%
Society and culture - 85%
Business Services - 86%
Visual Arts - 92%

SOOOOO FARRRRRR i reckon im going OK... but hey there is only room for improvement.. still I dont know how i'll manage to boost my scores :|

You look like you're on the way to a very high ATAR. Keep it up.

If your Standard Eng teacher is giving out marks up near that end, that could just mean they're an easy marker - I got a lot of 85%+ assessments and ended up with 76 in the HSC.

Maths 82%
Society and culture - 85%
Business Services - 86%
Visual Arts - 92%

These are pretty good, they probably won't get you 97+ at the moment but they're not bad.

instead of a half yearlies exam the english department gave us an assessment. thats why i got 100%.. i think onli 3 of us out of 170 got that mark.
