Recent is such a subjective word I don't like that wording, but recent I would assume is the last 10(ish) years, clarify with your teacher though. You could talk about the Australian Competiton and Consumer Act or some Labour Market reforms such as Work Choices and Fair Work Australia. You could even talk about the recent privatisation of MediBank. These are the only 'recent' MER I can think of.
