Does a reduction in quote lead to less imported goods or more?

A quota on imports is the quantity of a good that can be imported from overseas. Thus a reduction in quota would lead to less imported goods.

Unless, if course, if we're talking about getting rid of the quota all together, in which case we'd see more imported goods.
