Hey guys,
Can anyone provide me some good related text for "The life and crimes of Harry Lavender" by Marele Day, for Distinctive voices.

Cheers all.

Remember, the distinctive voice doesn't have to be the SAME kind of voice used by either Claudia or Harry (or the author), but it could be. Those who do use distinctive voices relating to crime that come to mind are Nick Cave with his very creepy "Murder Ballads", Raymond Chandler/Howard Hawks in either the film of "The Big Sleep" or the novel and the Duke in the poem "My Last Duchess", by Robert Browning. Marlon Brando in "The Godfather" has a very distinctive voice. As I mentioned earlier, however, the text does not have to be about Sydney or crime, as long as the 'speaker' has particular qualities in his/her expression, tone, structure etc that you can analyse to show how they use this to reveal characters and ideas and interest responders. All the best.
