Related Texts for "The Crucible"? please? (1 Viewer)

Yes, I know there have been a million threads before on "The Crucible" asking about related texts. But still...

I really need help finding a related text for this play and the teacher suggested that it would be best if your related text had a "John Procter type character"- as in someone who goes against the society's views.

Can you help me by suggesting any?

Also, I was thinking of doing "The Tale of Despereaux" (film) as one of them. Yay of nay?

Haven't heard of it. Try and choose texts related to the individuals perceptions isolating them from society.

I'm doing Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky).

Also think Things Fall Apart would be great (did it last year for extension)
