I'm studying Skyrznecki and I was wondering whether any of these films, could be used as a related text to his poems.

• The Shawshank Redemption
• Edward Scissorhands
• Freedom Writers

I only intend to choose of the films. Which would be the best one to choose.

Edward Scissorhands would defo be the best one out of those three imo.
There are heaps of visual techniques, colour etc and Burton is a very well respected director.
It also gives a new dimension to the concept of belonging, particularly when you see the heightened level of conformity within their suburbia juxtaposed to Edward.
Great film, Great choice.
