for conflicting perspectives which related text is better to do for Julius Caesar?
one that shows alot of conflicting perspectives, mainly between the characters, through arguments (they mainly argue about racial issues)
or
one that, although doesnt show as much conflicting perspectives, shows conflicting perspectives that are similar to those depicted in Julius Caesar (eg. conflicting perspectives of a public figure, whether to kill them or not etc.)?

also is it bad if your related text is too similar to your prescribed text?

It's totally up to you but i would use the text that shows alot of conflicting perspectives because that is what you are studying, there is no need to find a text similar to your prescribed text because the main emphasis should be on conflicting perspectives not the story of Julius Caesar. Also the more conflic there is in a text the more material and ideas you have for your assignments.
