So my prescribed text is RMF (Romulus my father)

And I need ideas on how to answer the following essay question...

“Choosing not to belong has a significant impact on an individual’s relationships and identity.” Discuss this view with detailed reference to your prescribed text and ONE other related text of your own choosing.

NO ONE IN RMF CHOOSES NOT TO BELONG? I was thinking about addressing that belonging is a matter of choice but i don't know how to actually refer RMF to the question -.-

Romulus's wife chooses to disconnect from the family unit - this has a significant impact on her moral vicissitude and capacity to retain her integrity through a monogynous relationship. The ultimate consequence of disconnection is her descent into 'madness' and eventual suicide (aspects of guilt and regret can be read as contributing to her decline).
