Rotating Complex Numbers other than 90 Degrees (1 Viewer)

Ok 90 degrees anticlockwise is multiplying by i, clockwise is dividing by i, if im not mistaken. What about say rotating pi/3?

multiply by cis @, where @ is your degrees of rotation anticlockwise

rotating by 90deg anticlockwise is equivalent to multiplying by cis(pi/2) = i ; clockwise is cis(-pi/2) = -i

therefore to rotate by pi/3, multiply by cis(pi/3)
