This thread is for those Russia as thier National study only!
Ideally what would be good is any of you have any problems on this topic post it here and now where else? Otherwise post some useful facts like this;

Social Democratic split into Menshiviks and Bolsheviks in 1903. Mensheviks (minority) more moderate socialists.
Bolsheviks (majority)- believed in more rradical methods, small elite group of revolutinaries.

I didn't see this topic before!! I have an essay question that I don't really know what to do with:

Account for the success of the communist party of the Socialist Union in consolidating the Bolshevik Revolution in the period 1917 to 1921.

We've barely covered this in class, got any ideas??

Well just started Russia, so far onlr a couple of weeks, basasically if we break it up (the question), its asking how and why did the communist party of socialist union........

talk about peasant support, the middle class(bourgeoius), economic conditions(due to the war), the fall of the tsar.. so on.
Not too difficult, because i havent covered this yet i cannot give you direct answer, best thing to do is to read ur notes and go over this question.
