To all the people who got uai's greater than 95 ( or real high), i was wondering what types of marks did you get on your assignments and school assessments? Some particular ones or what you got roughly, was there a mixture of high and low or did you get consistant A's?

Thanks.

I haven't done my HSC yet, but it's difficult to compare raw assessment marks between students at different schools. Different schools set exams of varying difficulty. A school may set difficult exams and you may only average 45%, and yet attain an HSC mark of 95.

That aside, I would guess that UAI 95+ students would be gaining assessment marks of 80+. Those with 99.5+ would probably be getting scores of ~90+

Hey survivor, did you like come somewhere top 5 in English?
Because a score of 92 this year in ESL would mean equal 2nd.

In my assessments I was getting in the low 90s for most of my subjects except for Physics and English where I was getting in the low 80s. I ended up with a band 6 in both of those subjects anyway :) [UAI of 99.3]

No that was my raw marks that were submitted to the Board, they are not the ones reported to you, i just calculated them myself. The ones reported are moderated based on your performance in the HSC

what did ur assessment mark end up being, at the end?
My raw assessment mark would have been around 70 for english - it ended up being 82 once aligned\moderated. But then, english is really what would have been what really kept my uai down to 98.2

My raw marks-

English advanced- 84 (87 aligned)
English extension 1- 45/50 (46/50 aligned)
mathematics- 91 (same)
mathematics extension 1- 32/50 (40/50 aligned)
chemistry- 88 (86 aligned)
physics- 84 (89 aligned)
food tech- 97 (88 aligned)

2004 UAI- 95.30

BTW- food tech didnt count because it was scaled down to 88 (coz i went crap in my exam).

Hmm...but you got 98 in Ext 1 maths and 94 in Maths Ext 2 (was it 94?). :p
That would've pulled your UAI up a lot despite the English marks.
