I feel VERY silly not knowing this question can anyone help?
Everything in this circuit seems like it'll work in real life...

The switch needs to be on. i.e. the part with the two dots and a line pointing away means that the switch is off.

Not sure what its looking for, but basically, look at the disadvantages of a series circuit... E.g. One switch turns off all the lights in the house
