Hey guys

I was just wondering how much a raw mark in the sciences (Bio, chem and physics) would align up to? WOuld it be large or pretty small? And is this mark the one that is averaged out with the assessment mark?

chem aligns the most..

69% in hsc physics ---> 80 HSC mark

65% in hsc chemistry ---> 80 HSC mark

67% in hsc biology ----> 80 HSC mark

these are 2014 figures

In terms of scaling, physics and chemistry scale around the same with physics usually slightly higher, then followed by biology

Not really, chemistry scales better most of the time and keep in mind that alignment depends on what questions you get correct as well because I had a peer who got 68% but got 79 HSC mark for chemistry last year.
