Doing 3D Trig, it's a pain to keep doing (1/tan@)2 etc.
Is there any shortcut for cot@?? It'd be nice if there was :)

*cough*... back in the old days when I learnt this, you had 3 trig tables, 2 log tables and 2 anti log tables.
you should be content with the fact that you have a calculator.

As if you need 3 log tables tan x=sin x/cos x

i reckon they should put a trig mode in the calculator.
with all the shortcuts for cot/cosec/sec etc.
it'd be much faster IMO, than putting in tan@, then the 1/x button.
btw. why is that putting in tan2x in a calc, you get a math error? coz everytime u want to do tan2x, you have to put brackets around the tanx then square it - PITA IMO - unless there's another way of doing it that i'm not aware of.

I don't think there's a nicer way of doing tan^2 (x) on the calculator (similarly with sin and cos) which is of course ridiculous.

We seem to be ignoring Estel's suggestion for a shortcut to cot x... cot x = tan (90 - x) is what I always use. It's so much neater.
