Hello,
I am interested in doing a computer related course at uni. Initially I was set on doing a software based course, however I have developed a love for electronics since I have been doing small arduino projects.

Therefore I realised that I can't pick one over the other as I greatly enjoy doing both.
I have two options: 1. Do Computer Engineering (4 years)
2. Do a combined Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science (5 years)

Which one is the better option overall?

Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science is better imo. Computer engineering is very similar to computer science but less flexible (in terms of subjects to take) I heard. I reckon more job opportunities for EE/CS combo.

Comp Eng at UNSW is pretty much a mash up of Elec and Comp Sci courses. In Comp Eng, you meet the requirements of courses done by the first two years of Elec students whilst also undertaking many Comp courses. In Elec you can do electives related to Comp Sci too in 3rd year. In Comp Sci, you do practically nothing from Elec.

The thing is, we still don't know what you exactly want to do and I suggest you do a bit of research into all similar programs yourself first.
