my conquering chem textbook says that the common size of a "mercury cell" is 15m long and 1m wide.
and in the diagram there are two tanks, one is where electrolysis occurs and the other is where Na in Hg solution reacts with water.
is "15m long 1m wide" the size of those two tanks collectively or just the electrolysis tank?
mm i checked a few things on google and it seems that modern cells are 2m wide, but im still not sure on what they mean by "cell".. just the electrolysis tank or both tanks..
