A few of you might remember when I got my netbook for school. It came with gOS, a distro of linux which i was relatively pleased with. I tried installing XP via bootable USB and all went okay until I tried connecting the internet and discovered that approximately 8 drivers were missing!

I'm a little down about it since I couldn't keep gOS as well as XP but I saved the files I needed (my school work, music and movies).

Couldn't you get the drivers for your network adapter manually from another computer, install that, get connected to the net and then windows will dl all other drivers

Google is your best friend.

Use device manager to find out what hardware needs drivers or a program called Everest and then google each piece of hardware + drivers

I already had a computer guy around the corner do it for me. I didn't know a lot of what to do really... but obviously now I can.

I also got emailed by the company an entire zip. full of all the drivers -_-

ah well, next time...
