Does anyone have a suzuki swift 2006 model?

If so - how is it on fuel...
- have you had any problems with it?

Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated!..

Cheers :)

Hey! I just noticed this thread .. I have a small car!
I have a 2006 Yaris hatch, 3 door.

In answer to your questions..
- It's very fuel efficient. I get upwards of 600km from a 42l tank, driving to Canberra I got highway economy of 4.2L/100km and I usually get around 5.8-6.4L/100km .. That being said I do a mix of stop/start and highway driving and I thrash it just a tad, so if I drove more sensibly the fuel economy would be better still.
- Features wise .. It has like 3 glove boxes/storage compartments in the dash, a bazillion cup holders and little storage things everywhere! It's got CD/MP3 player, air con, powersteering, ABS, full size spare tyre, digital speedo and the other stuff that most new cars have. Ohh, and the rear seats fold totally flat so you have heaps of boot space! This let me fit 50+ blown up balloons in the back of my car for my friends 18th lol!
- It costs nothing to run! Mine's a year old today and I've had no problems with it! I've only had to pay for servicing and that's it!

If you're looking for a small car, a Yaris or Echo would be totally worth it! Plus they have 3/5 door varieties so you can get them to suit your needs.

Wanna drive a Smart ForTwo?
You can change the body colour everyday.
Except you might die in a crash.

Being a small car, I don't think there will be that huge a difference in fuel consumption, and I have noticed that fuel consumption is very dependent on your style of driving.

One note I must add about the Swift, it is a very good looking car, however, the safety is not the best, and I know and hope this doesn't apply, but all the the friends that i know who drives a swift has totalled it.

Yeah, new Swift looks kinda cool.

I drive a little CE Lancer. Works great, weak as applesauce engine, air con, reasonable
but I only use 80 - 90 bucks per month in petrol.
Tyres were only 100 bucks or so each.

Still needs a service which I've been ignoring :p

Engine size has very little to do with fuel consumption. I'm supposed to get 100k's out of 7 litres but my foot's too heavy. And if you want safety I hear the merc A-class is pretty awesome, albeit ugly as fuck.

If you're paying so much for a little car, such as a Merc A-class
The safety [and everything else] better be fucking amazing.

True that. Get a Yaris or Jazz. Personally I wouldn't buy a new small car. I'd rather just get one of these:

2nd hand Merc A class are very cheap. Depcreciates quick for a Euro/merc

BUT, I wouldn't consider a car that needed electronics implemented to save face (it tipped on its launch, very tip-worthy car)

Godzilla/R32 is a nice strong car.

Get a used small car (for eg toyota, VW), loads in the market.
