I'd say mid 80s from what people are saying about the test's difficulty

NOTE: that number may or may not be anywhere near what you may get

i can think of about 30 marks i've lost :( its so depressing, coz chem used to be the only subject i was good at, but now evidently I suck at chem and everything else so... its all good. If you were coming like first in school assessment, but totally screw the actual HSC, what happens? Does your school mark just drop way down? And is the HSC exam mark we get a scaled mark????????? I really don't get this scaling / alligning stuff....

If you came first in school assessment, you will get the highest mark in the HSC at your school as your moderated assessment mark, and your actual hsc mark as your exam mark.
