Hi all, just finished my prelims and my results are not looking too good. I'm currently taking 3U Math, Eng ADV, Bio, Chem, Japanese Cont, and Economics right now. My results for Math Ext. 1 was devastating compared to the first two assessments and since I'm dropping Japanese, I'll be having 11 units next year. If I fail Math Ext. 1 next year again, will they be splitting my Advanced math mark in two (since it's two units) so it would be counted in? I'm not sure how the 11 units work since only 10 units are counted in the HSC. (I heard that having 11 units was pretty awkward).

Yeah. I pretty sure that if math extension is your worst subject, this one unit will not be included in the calculations for your ATAR. The other 10 units/your other ~5 subjects (including min. 2 units of english) will be splited into 2 as they are two units each usually and they will be included.
