So then, we all have times when we feel like a semi just backed over us, what songs do you listen to when you're in the pits?

My favourite ones are:

Ben Folds 5 - Evaporated
Beck - The Golden Age
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
R.E.M - Nightswimming

also i have a habit of watching the movie high fidelity when i feel down :p

just any songs you tend towards when you don't feel so good, whether they make you feel better or worse. i know that i tend to go towards the songs that make me feel worse, probably because i dont know any better :p

Interesting thread :)
Sort of depends on the reason why I'm feeling down, but there are a few albums I usually fall back on so I'll list those :)

If it's just straight up feeling like crap, maybe:
Joy Division - Substance
Depeche Mode - Ultra
or maybe Cranberries - Wake Up & Smell the Coffee
(either that or Everybody Else Is Doing It...)

On the other hand if I'm feeling dark about something in particular, pretty much anything will do as long as it's loud.

Guess it just depends...

REM-Everybody hurts. Might be a little cliched, but some of the lines are really moving e.g"Dont throw your hand"
