Can anyone reccommend a good voice recorder/ music player to record lessons. Im thinking about getting an ipod and buying an external microphone for it, or should i get some other music player what has a good built in mic, any reccomendations?

If the recorder is definitely a primary function for you, get a player which has it inbuilt. Creative, iRiver etc. offer such solutions.

I want to get one with a HD so i can use it to store files, etc since im working on the school magazine. I just want peoples recommendations on certain models not just brands because most of them have bad mics and i dont want to waste $400+ so if anyone here records there lessons please tell me what model and brand i should buy or what not to buy.
