dot point from section 2 of space:

define the term orbital velocity and the quantiative and qualitative relationship between orbital velocity, the gravitational constant, mass of the central body, mass of the satellite and the radius of the orbit using Kepler's Law of Periods

help please. the hsc online site is too brief :(

thanks!

well, u have to use maths and words to describ this pt..hence qualitative and quantiative

umm...it should be in pg 47 in Jacaranda...

Obviously you know the term orbital velocity. So don't worry about that :p

On the second part of the dot point:

When comparing quantiatively and qualitatively relationship between orbital velocity, the gravitational constant, mass of the central body, mass of the satellite and the radius of the orbit... Your basically talking about how variations of the vaiables in the velocity equation on the HSC online page affects its overall velocity...

Eg v = sqrt (GM/d)

You can state that as the mass of the central planet decreases, the velocity of the satellite at distance d also decreases.
Also, if the distance d increases, and the mass of the central planet stays the same, the velocity of the satellite decreases.

Stuff like that :)

Talk mathematically as dotty says! But basically talk about the equation stated above :)

PS: hope that makes sense... I'm off for lunch! :p l8rs!

yeh, but that is too general, no?
hmm...the verb is define, so that must be it...
