1. What do you think beautiful means in society today?
I don't know (also note, I assume that you are talking about beauty in humans and shall proceed accordingly)
2. What does being beautiful mean to you?
Um...having a friendly-looking image, not looking fake, being friendly I guess
3. What is external beauty?
Having your face all lined up according to the golden ratio (Sorry maths assignment) Um I think external beauty is what people see of you from the outside, but it comes from imperfections - eg all perfect just looks cold and weird...but if you just put on some random clothes and came out, smiling at the world, then you look 'externally beautiful' - although that is just my subjective opinion
4. What is inner beauty?
Inner beauty is what you pour out of yourself, while external beauty is what you keep as your own asset, if that makes sense - isn't very intuitive :S I mean inner beauty is being friendly, helpful, caring, or even if you can create something beautiful, that is also inner beauty; on the other hand external beauty is your looks, and that is something that is, well, yours alone, you can't really share it with others
5. Which is more important in society?
I don't know, I don't spend all that much time in society...
6. Is this the one which you believe should be more important? Why, why not?
Inner beauty should be more important, it sounds cliched, but I'd rather see someone who was friendly/intelligent/approachable than someone with perfect hair, also I hate perfect hair, but yeah, going back to the inner beauty/outer beauty thing that I said above, inner beauty benefits everyone around you whereas external beauty is just your personal thing.
7. Do you believe society places too much value on physical appearance?
In my experience, not really, but I don't have very much experience
8. Is beauty an affliction in today's society? Why, why not?
No, beauty is beauty, how can it be an affliction? I kind of see what you mean, but, I don't know
Please fill out for me, its very appreciated =)
