I am attending a swimming carnival soon. It's an outdoor pool and all the Senior students will have to want to wear it? Does anyone have any good suggestions for dress up or theme?

I hate these things. School tries to make itself seem more important than it actually is by trying to embody and enforce a "school spirit" or something. I refuse to be a part of such things.
Well, probably more a 'house' spirit than school spirit...

But I went along for fresh air, hang out with friends and in later years, help my house win the darn thing.

It's both. A school spirit because they make it compulsory for everyone to participate or at least attend, to try and create a sense of community or something.

High school seems to try and create a little mini society in and of itself, and creates little "fun" events to make it seem like a school community as a collective is important. I get sick of it.
