Hi guys. I have a few questions about transferring out of a combined science course.

1. I'm currently enrolled in combined Arts/Science and I'm planning to switch to a single Science course, starting from Semester 2, 2014. I know that I need to fill in and submit an application form, but I was wondering if applications for dropping half of your course (like from Arts/Science to Science) are, in general, easily approved of? (I'm dropping half of my degree because I want to graduate as soon as possible due to family reasons, and I'll simply write that down as my reason for transferring in the application form)

2. Assuming my application is approved of, are the credit points of the science units that I have completed at USyd transferred to the single BSc course? I know that I need to make an application for credit transfer and that there's a limit on the number of credit points (I think I read from somewhere that it's 96 credit points) but I was wondering if there are occasions on which the Faculty of Science refuses to transfer the credit for the units of study that I have completed at USyd.

3. Finally, I actually transferred from another university to USyd combined Arts/Science and I was given 69 credit points based on my previous tertiary studies. Will those 69 credit points still count towards my BSc course when I transfer to the single Science course? (In other words, do I get all the 93 credit points [69 credit points completed prior to transferring to USyd plus 24 credit points that I complete in Semester 1, 2014] transferred to the BSc course?)

Thanks!
