okay so the teacher sends in the wrong assessment marks to the board of studies.
by the time you get your assessment mark back from the department its like the end of hte year and its holiday time.
are you totally screwed and u have to live with somebody elses marks or can you change it ?
There are a number of checks and balances in place to prevent this.
1. After each assessment task you should be signing to say that the mark the teacher has recorded is what you were given.
2. At the end of the year you should sign another check that the all the marks being used to calculate your final mark is correct.
3. After the marks are sent into the BOS the school is sent a check copy to go through and check that the marks are the right ones for each student.
4. After the HSC has finished it is your responsibility to check the rank that you have been awarded (not the mark) and if you have any questions about it then you have to take it up with the school and have to be satisfied that the rank is the one that comes from your marks.
That final check time is when the students have to take the responsibility of ensuring that the marks that the teachers have sent in are the right ones.
by the time you get the marks it is too late to do anything as you had your chance to fix it and didn't take the opportunity.
