Hey guys I was wondering if you know any good techniques/things to make a story have some different elements e.g. flashbacks, dreams, diary entries.

Different narrators? E.g. one chapter in one person's perspective, the second in another

What techniques you use will depend on the writing style and the plot dynamics of your story. Seeing as we don't know your story, it would be hard for us to determine what techniques would be considered "good" in the context of your work.

Some techniques lend themselves more to certain situations than others, so don't use techniques for the sake of using techniques. A lot of the time it will just come across as contrived and may work to your detriment. Just start with formulating your plot and descriptions of it within your text, and the techniques will flow naturally from there.
