How in Scott monks novel raw does he use techniques? 2 put his message across about institutions

even i found it hard to find 'techniques' in raw..
..
but in think the most obvious would be colloquial language..
maybe there's some alliteration/simile/ assonance some where.. but they don't really help with teh whole institution and individual thing.
..
i think focus more on quotes .. for like protest/compliance/authority/enforcement..
..
the positive and negative effects..
..
freedoms.. individuality/choices/ ..
